About 50 years ago or so, Antiquing Kits were all the rage. Having been buried under all of that paint and glaze, many treasures are are left undiscovered. It is difficult if not impossible to know exactly what you have and what condition it is in. This particular piece was a crap shoot that the owner won.

Many really cool antiques do not have any great value associated with them. They may be old but not rare, and beautiful by design, but lack the craftsmanship typical of their period. Still, they are very functional. Tables and desks that fall into this category make ideal candidates for painting without guilt. If it looks good – do it!

STRIPPING AND REFINISHING
Not everything has to be a valuable antique to be brought back to it's former glory. These were made by a proud furniture maker and are now restored by a proud furniture refinisher.
